Rotary Club's "Dil Ki Suno" program raises awareness on heart health with CPR training

Rotary Club of Calcutta Presidency, RI District 3291, recently organized a one-day program "Dil Ki Suno" at ICCR Hall, Kolkata to raise awareness about heart-related problems and conduct CPR training.

The program was organized under the joint auspices of Rotaract Club of Calcutta Presidency and Rotaract Club of Calcutta Presidency Sahayam, in collaboration with BM Birla Heart Research Center.

The program started with the lighting of the lamp and a performance of the Ganesh Vandana dance. The chief guest of the program was British Deputy High Commissioner Peter Cook, along with Special Guest District Governor Ajoy Kumar Law and industrialist JP Chaudhary. More than 200 people participated in the program.

The main objective of the "Dil Ki Suno" program was to spread awareness about heart-related problems and to educate people about CPR training. The program director Vinod Bhandari said that the CPR training workshop was a crucial part of the program and it explained how to take care of cardiac problems in case of an emergency and how to keep healthy.

During the workshop, Dr. Ashok B. Malpani explained the CPR training and its importance. The nurse staff of BM Birla also explained about CPR training, stating that CPR is a type of first aid that can save a person's life if they are unconscious or have difficulty breathing. Through mock drills, they demonstrated how to perform CPR in an emergency situation.

The President of Rotary Club of Calcutta Presidency, Dr. Reena Malpani, emphasized the importance of taking care of the heart and highlighted the significance of the CPR training program.
